B) WHY I set up my OWN Business?

In the simplest of terms, I set up my OWN business because I was fed up of trying to earn some cash online and consistently being scammed, lied to and cheated by some pretty big players online. Why is it that ‘some’ folk cannot seem to tell the truth !!

Then, having learned a few lessons, and dealing with some ‘genuine’ opportunities I discovered that I could NOT take advantage of them due to:

a. My OWN lack of computer skills.

b. My OWN lack of Internet ‘know how’.

c. The ‘failure’ of the providers of those genuine opportunities to recognise that REAL Beginners need to start in the basement – they need to know they can get help and advice on the REAL Basic stuff. You will know what I mean if you are a beginner and reading this – you want to get help with the stuff that everyone else ASSUMES you already know!!

Finally

• Finding that ‘most’ providers of ‘business packages’ are extremely GOOD at ‘telling’ you what to do but are sadly ‘lacking’ in their ability to SHOW you what to do.

That is until I found my Mentor

Nick James – but even HE, though knowing the basic needs of the beginner, does not enjoy having to start explaining things from the sandpit upwards. Which is quite frankly, WHY he invited me to run a Beginners Training Class for his members on top of what I do for my OWN Members.

Let me ask you a question?

Have you signed up for News Letter after Newsletter, offer after offer and opportunity after opportunity, searching for that elusive dream – of actually ‘earning an income’ from the Internet.

Have you worn those ‘Rose Coloured Spectacles’ and actually PAID out good money for packages, products and services – yet are still not earning any money! Probably, and despite the fact that some of them will be perfectly good packages, you did NOT have a clue what to do with them when you got them – nobody was SHOWING you, it was assumed you would KNOW what to do with them weren’t you?

I certainly did all of that and probably more in the early days – and just like the majority who will read this, got absolutely NOWHERE at all.

Now don’t get me wrong there are some very good folk and some very good products online – for example one particular package developed by a Brit who lives in Los Angeles (USA) is very good.

I should know, I literally ‘taught’ him how to create and build his FIRST website nearly FOUR years ago. He not only, in the nicest sense, copied my ideas and turned them into a very successful business – but he STILL claims on his promotional websites that he could’nt find anyone to help him get started !!! Tut! tut! young man - it would do you NO harm to give credit where credit is due!

Anyhow, I digress. Following the scams and the lies, along with the assumption by many others that us beginners will KNOW what to do with all those products we spent our hard earned money on, I decided that the sensible thing to do was to set up and run my OWN business online. After all, I had set up and run TWO successful businesses ‘offline’ during my working life.

Easier said than done of course, because the next ‘brick wall’ that I hit was trying to find someone who could literally SHOW me (not tell me – ‘show’ me) how to create and build a website and/or a Blog !!
Now – if YOU are a REAL beginner, starting out from scratch, you have a big learning curve in front of you IF you follow many of the current Guru’s – back to that inability to explain things in a simple language again.

Anyhow, 4 yrs ago I would have defied you to find “anyone”, particularly the Guru’s and Techie’s on the Internet to either take the time or trouble to explain or help in this area.

Indeed, those that did, then had the difficulty of ‘lowering’ there knowledge and themselves down into the sandpit where the ‘Real Beginner’ needs to start. They just could not explain things simply !!

One of my own son’s is an extremely knowledgeable “Techie” – even he could not explain things in simple enough terms for his dear old ‘dumb’ beginner of a Father !!

Four years plus later, you will STILL find it difficult to find anyone who talks YOUR language and covers the REAL basics at a level you not only need but can understand.

Back then, 4 years ago – through sheer determination and persistence I DID find a “Techie” I could drag down to my level – Patrick – to whom I shall remain forever grateful, for he DID kick start my knowledge and set me on the road to being able to produce and share that simple process that I STILL use today and I share that knowledge with OTHER ‘Real Beginners’ who were and continue to struggle.

MY knowledge has of course ‘grown’ considerably over the past 3/4 years, not least of which is the way that I NOW teach folk how to create and build a website in particular. You will no longer need to use ANY expensive software programmes or use HTML Editors nor indeed need to learn masses of ‘techie’ stuff. Just 7 simple steps will show you how you can virtually create any web template layout of your own including quality graphics using FREE graphics tools – no need to invest in expensive graphics programmes therefore !!

Added to the above of course is ‘all’ the additional knowledge and skills I can share with beginners, especially members of my The REAL Beginners Club members.

C) MY Business is MY HOBBY

Hear is MY strong point – I AM NOT MONEY DRIVEN – I am ‘Retired’, I own my house, I have sufficient income coming in to cover the needs of my wife and I…..I happen to ENJOY what I do online, what I have learned and the pleasure of sharing that knowledge with ‘others’ – on MY terms though.

For example:- I ONLY do things online when “I” want to do them which is usually mornings only 3-5 days per week dependent upon how I feel…in other words I do NOT have to be a slave to my computer because it is my JOB – it isn’t my job, it is my HOBBY. The fact that I happen to earn from that hobby is simply a benefit and NOT a ‘need’. Nice position to be in isn’t it !!

I get a heck of a lot of pleasure during my retirement years by sharing my knowledge with folk. Basically, I do that via Blogs such as this one your are on right now where I will be introducing “Readers” to a product I probably have used, am using or have produced, or perhaps has been put together by someone I ‘know’ and ‘trust’.

Apart from the Webinar held every Tuesday evening for “Nick’s Club Members” Members I run a morning Webinar for my own Club Members on a Wednesday along with what I call my “Surgery” on a Friday morning where my Club Members ask questions about things they want to learn more about or don’t understand etc.,

Again a very simple comment – wherever it takes me and for as long as I continue to enjoy doing it and I remain healthy.
